PRISTINA, May 17/ATA/- Kosovo Security Force with 330 soldiers will be part of the “Defender-Europe 21”, whose exercises in Kosovo will take place beginning from today until May 29. The training arena will be in the village of Babaj i Bokës in Gjakova. Kosovo is one of the 16 host countries of “Defender Europe 21”, which is a joint multinational defense exercise led by the US military.
In “Defender-Europe 21” participate 27 countries with over 28 thousand soldiers.
Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama spoke about the main goals of the KSF as a participant in such an exercise.
“Kosovo Security Force will participate with 330 soldiers. The main objectives of this exercise ‘Defender Europe 2021’ are to increase the development and interoperability with partners, validation of infantry skills of our company, training of our teams for future validation, and intelligence interoperability in partner countries”, said Rama.
The exercise will be focused on Gjakova Airport, while the trainings will also take place in Babaj i Boka.
Citizens during this period of time will notice increased movement of military vehicles, soldiers, partners and the KSF.
The training has already started in Albania, which this year is the main host of this giant military exercise./KosovaPress/p.s./
