TIRANA, May 8/ATA/-The General Prosecutor’s Office has registered 38 notifications of criminal offenses related to the elections, while 50 notices of criminal offenses are in the process of preliminary verification.
The Prosecution announced on Tuesday that, following the administrative and procedural measures taken by the Prosecutor General to guarantee the normal functioning of the Prosecution Office in accordance with constitutional and legal obligations before, during and after the election, the Prosecution Office is committed to investigating criminal offenses in the field of elections, having the competence to act upon the general subject-matter.
According to the reports of the prosecution offices of general jurisdiction on criminal offenses in the field of elections for the pre-election period until 07.05.2021, the prosecution offices have registered criminal proceedings for 38 notifications of criminal offenses related to the elections while 50 more notifications are in the process of preliminary verification. //a.i/
