TIRANA, May 4/ATA/ The largest military exercise in Western Balkans started today in the Port of Durrës, with the deployment in Europe that takes place for the first time since the Second World War and where will be demonstrated the interaction capabilities of the United States with NATO partner armies for security in the Balkans, Western and Black Sea regions.
The military exercise, organized by the US military in Europe and Africa, with the participation of about 28 thousand troops from 26 allied and partner countries, will take place in 7 different bases in our country.
“Defender 21” that opened today will last until June 9.
Albania is one of the 16 host countries in the development of this military exercise. Our Armed Forces will be represented by about 1000 troops.
Meanwhile, 28,000 multinational troops will carry out activities almost simultaneously in more than 30 training areas in more than 12 countries./m.m/j.p/p.s./
