TIRANA, May 4 /ATA/ The main banking activity reflected in net interest income recorded an increase, while the overall operating expenses did not show significant changes.
The Bank of Albania announces that, in the second half of 2020, the net interest income amounted to ALL 43 billion, or ALL 1 billion higher than a year ago.
This development is attributable to decline in interest expenses and increase in interest income.
“Despite the positive developments in the main banking activity and the increase in the value of the net interest income, the net interest margin remained unchanged at 3.4%, as the average interest-bearing assets marked an annual increase of 6%,” BoA says.
