TIRANA, April 30 /ATA/- During 2021, the banking system has continued to expand its business loan portfolio.
According to the Bank of Albania (BoA), in March 2021, loans to private sector segment increased by 5% compared to the same period a year ago. While the business loan portfolio increased by about ALL 2 billion compared to a month ago.
BoA said that, the total loan portfolio (individual and business) amounted to ALL 610 billion at the end of March, recording a monthly increase of ALL 2.6 billion.
Loan prospects for this year remain positive, driven by the expected improvement of the real economy, the good financial health of banks and the continuation of the easing monetary policy of the Bank of Albania. //a.i/
