TIRANA, April 28 /ATA/- In the first two months of 2021, the greenhouse exports dominated by tomatoes and cucumbers increased by 74%, worth 648 million ALL.
According to the official data published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2020, Albania’s exports accounted for 8.8 billion ALL or 72 million euros. Compared to a year ago, the export of this group of vegetables increased by 13.3%.
There are about 1500 ha of greenhouses throughout Albania whose first product is tomato that access markets quickly.
Thanks to the reduction of VAT on agricultural inputs, tax-free oil and financial support the interest of farmers has risen to produce quality agricultural products in increasing quantities.//a.i/
