TIRANA, April 27 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ The political leader of the Socialist Party in the region of Elbasan, Taulant Balla, declared on Tuesday that “SP has won convincingly in the region of Elbasan with over 55% of the vote and a very high turnout for the elections.”
Balla said in a televised interview that “the people of Elbasan have given us 9 mandates, so all parties must recognize the electoral outcome.”
According to him, “the 9th mandate is determined by a very narrow difference of votes.
“SP and Edi Rama have convincingly won the April 25 elections. Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and hit the ground running, because there is a lot of work to be done. The current Assembly will have to resume its work, while the Assembly that emerged from these elections will convene on September 9,” he added.
“Once all the data are put in the paper, then the formula for distributing the mandates will be done. We have received the 9th mandate with the votes we have received, plus-minus 1 vote is an issue that we will work out based on procedures in place, ” said Balla.
