TIRANA, April 22 /ATA/ PM Edi Rama has portrayed Tirana as Albania’s small America.
In his remarks at the wrap-up meeting of the campaign in the capital, Rama said that Tirana gathers all the hopes of Albanians from all the regions. He stressed that the vote on April 25 for the SP is for more daycares, kindergartens and schools for children.
Of course there are people out there who are not content, yet the more dissatisfaction, the more hope, the more unrelenting drive to get things done, but the question is what are we going to do with the discontent? We are not satisfied with the point we have reached so far, we want to get there. How are we supposed to go there, by fighting with one another or but sitting down and saying this is unacceptable.
“I tell the citizens of Tirana that Tirana is the small America of Albania. Tirana is the place where all the dialects of Albanian language are spoken. Tirana is the place which hosts all the regions, customs, histories and all the dreams and hopes, just as America once brought together the hopes and dreams of the world over,” – said Rama.
“I tell them, to whom will you entrust the children, to whom will you entrust the daycares? I know, more daycares are needed, I agree with that. And to whom will you entrust the kindergartens? To whom will you entrust the schools that are definitely needed the most? To whom will you leave them? To whom will you leave the path of your child, to whom? To whom will you entrust the fate of the daughter and the son, to hold the place there as it deserves, or will you still leave it to the motorcade to decide who gets what, who leaves and who kills, to whom will you leave? To whom will you leave it to further increase your wages? What about you shopkeepers in Tirana, you small entrepreneurs, be them from Konispol, Librazhd, Puka, those who live on a small business, to whom will you leave the tax work? Will you keep the taxes at 0 as you have them, or will you go after berihaj, will you enter the convoy?
