“Kukës International Airport is becoming a reality and there are a few hours left from the first flight,” the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku during an interview.
“Civil aviation department is one of the national strategies developed in the second term of the Rama Government,” Minister Balluku said.
“We have managed to set up the flag-bearing company “Air Albania”. We have a clear plan based on research. The issue then may arise as to whether it is necessary for us to have all these airports. We have genuine feasibility studies on the airports we have decided to build in the cities of Albania,” Balluku underlined.
“The investment will have a major impact, from employment to direct injection due to the cargo that will land at this airport, due to the increase in the number of passengers, as well as the number of tourists who will visit this area. “After the completion of works on Kukës Airport, the focus of the ministry will be totally shifted to another airport, as on April 20 the concession contract between the winning company for the construction of Vlora Airport and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy will be signed,” she added. //a.i/
