TIRANA, April 16 /ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a meeting with the women and girls of Tirana, said that there is a reason why girls and women have aligned with the Socialist Party.
Introducing the SP candidates for MP, Prime Minister Rama said that politics is an opportunity to do things that seem impossible, to improve things which people cannot do on their own.
“There is a reason why Etilda is here today. An excellent student, an ambitious human rights activist on the Helsinki Committee. Then contributor to the process of drafting justice reform. Then Deputy Minister in the government of my embrace with Lulzim Basha and today Minister of Justice and MP. Still the path of a girl, then a woman, who believes in merit, in hard work and who believes that politics is an opportunity to make the difference,” Rama said.
“There is a reason why Luljeta and Najada are here. Neither of them has worked their up through the party. Both of them come from two walks of life, but in two times like no other they pulled Albanians together to get through all this without thinking who I am and who you are, I am left or right, because even the virus and the earthquake did not see left or right and in those two moments, the Albanians came together and here we are today, on the way out of the earthquake impact, on the way to get over the wounds and pain left by the pandemic, Albanians have had their spiritual guides. Luljeta and Najada are two of them. Two of them,” Rama said.
“There is a reason why Klodi is here… She is a champion. Klodi was the leader of Tirana’s basketball team. She jumped higher than anyone else and always was the best of all on the court.
“I am very proud that Klodi is here with us today. As I am very proud that here today with us is another Klodi. She comes from another success story, the story of girls and boys who engaged in the forums of young people, students and today she is here to add her indisputable value to our team, be it in this term of office with the exceptional role she has played in parliament, as a member of the law committee, which consists of many deputies, but not all of them lead, not all of them sit down and draft the road plan to achieve the result. Not everyone writes laws properly. Klodi is one of the few. Ermonela is a another success story. I remember that we definitely wanted to find a woman for Berat. I was told about a prosecutor who excelled in the school of magistrates as a student and from that time onwards we have walked down this road together with Ermonela for many years, and Ermonela is an example of integrity, perseverance.”
