TIRANA, April 16 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Thursday that the Italian businessman Francesco Becchetti will indemnify the Albanians for all the damage caused to them.
In a televised interview, Rama said that ‘Ilir Meta, Sali Berisha and others have pinned their hopes on this scoundrel capitalizing on the court battle in question.
“He will never be awarded 110 million euros in damages. This confrontation is not over yet. I cannot reveal any more details about the strategy, but he will pay all the damages caused to the Albanians, not via the media but through legal avenues, ” said Rama.
“We have hired a team of international and Albanian lawyers and experts to deal with this matter. I cannot reveal any more details about the legal moves, but it is not over and he will be faced with a big surprise. Even Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta, who have shamelessly sided with a person declared wanted by Albanian justice for money laundering and tax evasion, will be taken by surprise either,” said Rama.
