TIRANA, April 15 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ The Shengjin-Velipoja road is under construction and will open up a whole front of sustainable development for Lezha.
This is what PM Edi Rama said from Lezha, while touching on investments in infrastructure.
“We conducted the competitive bidding process for the Milot-Fier road but withdrew from negotiations with the winning company because it was not what we wanted in terms of public interest and in terms of the cost,” said Rama.
Rama added that “we will open the competitive bidding process once again and we will make it a strategic part of our tourism and at the regional level through this axis of the ‘blue corridor’ from Murriqan to Vlora.”
“Roads remain a huge investment. We said that we will start Shengjin-Velipoja, it is a project on the ground now. The work has kicked off. It is a panoramic road that opens a whole front of sustainable development, job creation through tourism that will attract people here, ” said Rama.
