2021-2025 plan to attract growing number of tourists, guesthouses in Vermosh just embryos of economic development

TIRANA, April 15 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Thursday that the government’s 2021-2025 and a series of major investment projects would attract a growing number of international tourists in the coming years.

Addressing an electoral meeting in Shkodra, the government head said that important investments in tourism and infrastructure will be implemented in the coming years.

“When we took office, Malesi e Madhe municipality was left totally to oblivion. But, if you are to travel to Vermosh today, you would realize the perspective that has been opened there. And this is not because a new road has been built, but because local economy has been opened as a growing number of local residents currently living abroad are returning and investing in their private family homes to transform them into guesthouses,” PM Rama said.

“Consider the number of tourists visiting that remote area. Who would have ever thought that tourists would visit Malesi e Madhe? With our 2021-2025 plan, the number of visitors to Albania, Malesi e Madhe and all over the country will grow significantly. The town of Puka has been transformed from an abandoned area into an important tourist destination,” Rama said.

“These are all just the embryos of a thriving tourism and economy and all it takes is just for us to go on investing and transform our projects into reality,” he said.
