TIRANA, April 9 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today from Saranda that the “Action Plan 2021-2025” of the Socialist Party will turn Albania into a champion of the Balkans in tourism, but also an exporter of energy.
The tourist port that has started, Rama continued, is one of the most important strategic investments for tourism not only for Saranda, but for the whole of Albania.
The prime minister informed that after a lot of work, a contract will be signed for Vlora Airport and very soon we will be on site. “Once the contract for Vlora is signed, we will continue with Saranda”, stressed Rama, while adding that the project and documentation for the international competition for Saranda airport have already been prepared.
“It will definitely be another success story,” said the prime minister.
PM Rama also focused on the investments that are being made in the country’s airports.
In a few days, he said, we will open Kukes International Airport. Meanwhile, according to him, investments in Rinas Airport will continue with the construction of the new terminal and the expansion of the runway that will guarantee transoceanic flights.
Rama also spoke about the investments that are being made to turn Albania into a Balkan champion in terms of energy exports.
“With new and large investments, we will be able to become net exporters of energy, with the construction of Skavica, thanks to the agreement with the US government and the construction of two photovoltaic parks, in Karavasta and Spitalë,” he stated. re /p.s./
