TIRANA, April 7/ATA/ In the city of Përmet, the work for the expansion of the tourist and commercial area of Përmet continues at a high pace.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by the candidate for MP of the Socialist Party in Përmet Mirela Kumbaro and Minister of Interior Bledi Çuçi, saw closely the work being done in this area.
Kumbaro said that, “So far, the first phase of the urban revival project has stopped, and now the construction site has just opened where Përmeti is part of the joint project with the World Bank and the full qualification of the promenade to the house of the Congress will continue until the end with sidewalks with a new lighting system, with gardens, but also with a bicycle track”.
“There has been a lot of interest in this because of the typology of tourists who come to Përmet throughout the year, both from Gjirokastra and Leskovik, who are passionate tourists about natural sports that come by bicycle, horseback riding,” she said.
Kumbaro said that, “We are also interested in businesses because everyone is prepared to follow the model they have followed in Gjirokastra and Korça, in Vlora to make their own investments.”
“This is a shopping street, whether with restaurants, bars and shops. The project has started implementation. There are three parts to this project which are the continuation of the promenade until the end where the project ends, the other part is the requalification of the White Stream, which will be urban requalification, with greenery, with resting places, benches and the third part is the historical neighborhood that we will do what we have done in Gjirokastra, Vlora, which is the complete restoration “, said Kumbaro.
According to her, the construction site has been open for about three weeks, it has created a new spirit.
“Përmeti experienced the first part of development of the urban revival and has seen the growth of tourism, the increase of property value,” said Kumbaro.
