TIRANA, April 5 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Monday that a zero profit tax rate and zero VAT will be applied to small businesses under the Socialist Party’s well-calculated action plan until 2029.
“They probably can’t stand us and dislike us very much, but this is the least problem, as they are not forced to like us, but they should not go and vote us just because we may sound arrogant and then pay a lot in taxes, as the opposition has proposed a nine percent flat tax,” the Premier said.
“Paying nine percent of your income along with the VAT just because some like and some others dislike us, is actually a miscalculation. The ballot paper is not a ticket to enter the stadium and watch a football game. The ballot paper is an authorization to defend your interest and you should think carefully whom you would cast it for,” Rama said.
