Border Control/ US WCO’s customs operational practices for enforcement and seizures

TIRANA, April 3 /ATA/- The US Embassy in Tirana, through our EXBS program, sponsored the WCO’s Customs Operational Practices for Enforcement and Seizures (COPES) and Strategic Trade Control Enforcement (STCE) course to 24 Albania and Kosovo Customs officers.

“Addressing the need to improve the capabilities of Customs agencies to seize evidence and begin the investigation process after interdicting contraband, U.S. Embassy Tirana, through our EXBS program, sponsored the WCO’s Customs Operational Practices for Enforcement and Seizures (COPES) and Strategic Trade Control Enforcement (STCE) course to 24 Albania and Kosovo Customs officers.

Issues in cross-border operations require partner countries to get together and explore best practices in finding effective ways to address them, and that’s why this training will further foster good practices and cooperation towards the successful fight against illicit trafficking and cross-border crime in Albania and Kosovo,” US Embassy said. //a.i/
