TIRANA, March 31 /ATA/ As the mass vaccination of the elderly aged over 80 continues apace throughout the country, the eligibility age for the jab has dropped to 70.
PM Edi Rama published on Wednesday a video clip showing the process of vaccination in Laç, in Rrëshen and Lezha.
“The honor is all ours that we have the extraordinary privilege to serve you, the grandparents of Albania, in this time of war, and with great patience and perseverance we are winning day to day the battle with evil,” said Rama.
The elderly thank the government and PM for enabling their vaccination.
“Prime Minister deserves to be applauded for his attention towards the people,” a senior citizen in Lac said.
Another elderly man in Rrëshen says that “this is an extraordinary day for us, for our health and life. ”
The elderly people in Lezha’s vaccination center are satisfied that they were vaccinated. It’s a great achievement,” says one elderly man.
Since the start of the vaccine rollout, a total of 138,846 vaccinations have been delivered, while today alone 19,525 Covid vaccinations have been delivered.
