TIRANA, March 29/ATA/ The mass vaccination of the elderly +70 years old continued today on the second day in “Skënderbej” square, where the process is taking place at a satisfactory pace.
The Albanian Telegraphic Agency closely followed the process where the elderly had lined up according to the recommendations they received from the family doctor, who also determined the schedules of this vaccine with the sole purpose that this process works as well as possible and without creating queues or delays.
The elderly are very happy that this day has finally come and that they have the opportunity to be vaccinated. Some of them even say that they will help raise the awareness of other citizens. They also emphasize that they have confidence in the effectiveness of the vaccine.
“I just got the vaccine and everything is going very well. I heard the announcement from the media and came to do it. I also consulted the doctor giving him the phone number. I definitely got the vaccine after saving myself and everyone else around me”, said an elderly woman for ATA.
Another elderly man told ATA that, “I received vaccine jab without any delay. The vaccine my wife and me received is the Chinese one and this is a very good thing that the Albanian government is doing trying to help the people by meeting this special need. Currently we are waiting for about 20 minutes to pass until we are sure that everything will go very well.”
So far, over 78,000 vaccinations have been carried out across the country. /a.a/p.s./
