TIRANA, March 28 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said that, “Every day on is a colossal step towards a colossal victory in the fight against the pandemic caused by the Sars-Cov-2 virus.
From the municipality of Tirana, where the contracts of order are signed today for the first families that will receive the new apartments in the new neighborhood in “Kombinat” quarter, PM Rama emphasized that, “Today, it is one of the most beautiful days of my political life, perhaps the most beautiful. It is much more than every day of every election victory, because today has begun the liberation from anxiety in the souls of thousands of grandparents of this country, who because of the great danger that threatens at a cursed time when the world faces the invisible enemy, have been forced to shut themselves in and be deprived of many hours in the fresh air, of many contacts with grandchildren and meanwhile hear every day the bitter news of their peers death because of aggression of the invisible enemy ”.
He stated that today we have entered the final phase of this war and in fact, he added, every day from today is a colossal step towards a colossal victory against this plague, since a short year has radically changed the meaning of our lives and has prevented everyone of us from taking deep breaths to see the future in an attempt to survive the present.
“There is no greater pleasure than watching thousands of grandparents get the vaccine and it is certainly one of those moments when everyone understands that politics itself is not a bad thing, on the contrary politics was born for this, to give opportunities to people to do things together that they just can’t do “, said Rama.
According to the prime minister, when politics falls into good hands, it definitely does a lot of good deeds; but, when politics falls into bad hands, it definitely does a lot of bad deeds.
“This is one of those good deeds that without politics would never be done, Albania would not be able to break the siege imposed by indifference of the EU in the first moment, which left the countries of the region out of the vaccine distribution scheme. “, said Rama.
Without politics and diplomacy, he continued, we would not be able to ensure mass vaccination of the population and we would still be like many others in the region, who so far have either not taken any doses, or are still taking symbolic doses.
“We are one of the two countries in the region that have provided mass vaccination and this makes me very proud. And that’s a reason to put everyone in front of the fact that politics is necessary and just as necessary is for people when the day comes to decide in which direction they will take politics to take it as seriously as anything they take when deciding on their home. When people choose for their home, they do not look at the parties, the colors, but simply and only look at the power that has to do the job”, stated the prime minister.
And why is it different, the prime minister asked, when it comes to choosing people when they should do things together?
“Do you think that providing mass vaccination has nothing to do with the politics of who runs the country, it has nothing to do with government and institutions?” – stressed the prime minister. /a.a/r.e/p.s./
