TIRANA, March 27 /ATA/ – Work is underway to reconstruct and revitalize Durrës Amphitheatre, one of the most important cultural heritage sites in Albania which sustained damages due to the November 26, 2019 earthquake.
The Ministry of Culture said that ”In addition to the rehabilitation of the historical monuments objects, the reconstruction project is also designed to transform the area into a genuine historical centre.”
Durrës Amphitheatre, one of the most beautiful Roman amphitheatres built at the end of the 1st century AD is seeing a constant growth of local and international visitors each year./ /ush/
