TIRANA, March 26 /ATA/ The State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi addressed a letter to the Electoral College today asking it to consider as soon as possible the Socialist Party’s appeal against the Complaint and Sanction Commission’s decision which accepted the list of 222 Democratic Party candidates and allies in the April 25 Parliamentary elections. .
Celibashi asked the Electoral College to speed up the process because, according to what is written in the letter, every delay creates the impossibility of approving the content of the ballot paper, which affects the process of production and distribution of ballot papers within the set deadlines.
The CEC decided on March 17 that the excess candidates should be removed from the DP lists, but after appealing, the Complaint and Sanction Commission returned the candidates to the DP lists./r.e/p.s./
