“Stable, but delicate situation/ “Experts’ Committee upholds same anti-Covid measures for next two weeks

TIRANA, March 23 /ATA/ The Technical Committee of Experts assessed at today’s meeting that the same measures remain in force for another two weeks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

At the conference of the Technical Committee of Experts regarding the situation and measures to cope with the pandemic, the chairwoman of the Technical Committee Mira Rakacolli stressed that, “There is a downward trend that is apparently somewhat stable.”

“The Technical Committee thinks that these figures are the result of effective measures and a positive trend that has been observed in the population with respect to the measures,” she said.

“There is a slight improvement in the implementation of measures by citizens, but it is not at the desired levels. The committee has decided that the measures have been effective and will remain at the same level for another two weeks “, – said Rakacolli.

The current measures in force are:

– Curfew from 20:00 in the evening – 6:00 in the morning, except for health emergencies and for work reasons (in this case permission is required through the application to e-Albania).

– Prohibition of activities of bars, restaurants, clubs, from 20:00 in the evening – 06:00 in the morning (except delivery service).

– Given the increase in cases of new infections in the age group 15-24 years, high schools continue with the third scenario, ie online in high risk areas.

– Universities attend online.

– Suspension of flights with Great Britain/k.s/r.e/p.s./
