TIRANA, March 24 /ATA/ The welcome and takeover ceremony of the four newest members of the High Court, justices Sokol Binaj, Albana Boksi, Sander Simoni and Klodian Kurushi, was held on Wednesday in the High Court.
The ceremony organized on this occasion was also attended by the Chairwoman of the High Judicial Council Naureda Llagami, members of the HJC, as well as representatives of EURALIUS and Justice for All.
In his address on the occasion of this solemn ceremony, the Deputy Chief Justice Sokol Sadushi said that, “the Supreme Court is honored to host four new members, who have shown during their career professionalism and integrity. The appointment of the newest members by HJC is an excellent choice, which should continue with the filling in of other vacancies. ”
“Increasing the number of professional judges with integrity undoubtedly comes up to the expectations of the public at all times, confidence in the judiciary, so that the citizen has the maximum protection and security stipulated by law,” said Sadushi.
He also asserted the commitment of the High Court to ensuring the delivery of prompt, quality and constitutional justice.
For her part, the chairwoman of the HJC, Naureda Llagami, said that, “the appointment of new and qualified judges to the High Court raises the bar for a quality justice and prompt rulings to clear the backlog of pending cases.”
