TIRANA, March 23/ATA/- A total of 77,692 families benefited the baby bonus for the newly born babies under the baby bonus law adopted by the Albanian government in 2019 under the Social Protection Program encouraging Albanian parents to have more children through a sharp hike in baby bonuses, the Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama said.
The Prime Minister Rama emphasized that, under the universal program, there is a reward for the birth of every child, starting from 40,000 ALL for the first child, 80,000 ALL for the second and 120,000 ALL for the third child, regardless of where the children are born, in Albania or abroad, by registering them in their home country.
The Albanian government unveiled in September 2018 a new social reform program, which entered into force on Jan. 1, 2019, aiming to encourage Albanian parents to have more children through a sharp increase in baby bonuses. //a.i/
