TIRANA, March 21 /ATA/- The COVID revaccination of doctors and nurses in our country is ongoing. The revaccination of doctors and nurses is taking place in the “Air Albania” stadium where, according to the schedule in place, doctors and nurses show up at the appointed time three weeks apart from the first shot to receive the second dose.
Matilda Islamaj, an ophthalmologist at TUHC, said that she had no concerning side effects after receiving the first shot. “We feel at ease that this important process for everyone’s wellbeing has come to an end. I did not have any problems after receiving the first dose of vaccine, ” said Islamaj.
“Joy, hope for the future, for the health, for the family, for the patients and I hope the whole population will receive the jab as soon as possible. The side effects outweigh the benefits. I had slight muscle pain, but they are normal signs showing that your body is building protection,” – another doctor says.
“My name is Prende Lekaj, a nurse at Health Center number 7. I did not have any problems except for a little pain on the arm where I got the shot, but nothing to worry about,” she said.
“We have successfully completed the vaccination cycle and we hope to be immunized. We encourage everyone to receive the jab and build up protection from COVID. So far so good,” another doctor says.
“The delivery of the second dose went very well. Of course, the vaccination must continue to ensure mass immunization,” said one of the doctors.
Doctors and nurses were the first in line to receive the COVID vaccine. The doctors and nurses are gearing up to take the second dose of “Pfizer” vaccine. In parallel with doctors and nurses, vaccination of the elderly aged over 80 and teachers is ongoing. The number of vaccinations has gone to over 30 thousand to date.
