TIRANA, March 17/ATA/ Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj said that, “In context of the progressive taxation, from January 2022 we reduce taxation on wages and increase benefits for individuals and businesses”.
During a TV interview, Denaj emphasized that, “From January 1, 2022, in our economic program is foreseen the increase of two bands within the progressive taxation for the salary of individuals, that of 0 taxes for salaries up to 40 thousand Lek per month.
“Tax cuts are not a novelty, but a continuum. The government has reduced taxes even before. The 0 tax for the salary of 30 thousand Lek per month was made by the Socialist Party”- said Denaj.
Referring to the innovations of a 4-year program, the minister noted that, “This program has many aspects, but I want to emphasize the focus on economic incentive policies, fiscal easing policies in support of business.”
“Also, she stressed, we are talking about an additional fund for the return of emigrants to Albania. The government makes available a 50m-euro sovereign guarantee fund for the renovation of business machinery and equipment. While the focus is on support for digitalisation, the field of technology and information are the sector of future development.”
Denaj said that vaccination is a key factor in opening up the national and international economy.
“Being optimistic that the year will have a positive growth of 5%, managing to neutralize last year’s decline and start building the supplement from next year,” she said./p.s./
