TIRANA, March 8/ATA/- Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj said on “News 24” TV that the list of the Socialist Party candidates running for MP in the upcoming April 25 general elections is based on career professionals and young people who will be have the opportunity to prove themselves in politics.
Veliaj said that the time has come for words to give way to deeds, as the only valuable product of politics.
“The question is whether we make music or noise? When it helps people, when it works for people, when it unites people, politics is like music. When it provokes splits, when it spread poison, when it becomes toxic, then it is like noise. We have to leave a product. Many untrue words are uttered as I sometimes think if the productive part was not 10-20%, but was 100%, imagine how fast we would have moved forward. So one of the things that I makes me enthusiastic is when I look at people like Professor Luljeta Bozo, or Dr. Najada Çomo, I say there will be people who have done real things. I say, that the arrival of professionals will make politics more productive, “said Veliaj.
He brought his personal example of how his contribution has helped make politics better, an example which Veliaj said should be followed by young people who will be added to the SP list.
“I lived in the United States and then in England. I had two options: join the cynical choir and say no, or follow the do-it-yourself principle. So if you do not trust others then take action. I am glad that we will have many young people on the lists that will be released tomorrow, who will have a chance to say how to do politics,” Veliaj stated./p.s./
