TIRANA, March 8/ATA/- The meat processing industry has entered a new stage of development thanks to investments undertaken through the support of the Albanian Government under the National Scheme and the IPARD program.
In the last two years, the Agriculture and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) has supported the meat processing sector in 83 new investments, in physical assets or technology with extension to 27 municipalities of the country.
“Out of the total investments, 22 are startups with 2,405 new jobs in the construction of new stockyards according to the EU standards for animal welfare and environmental impact,” ARDA said. //a.i/
