TIRANA, February 5 /ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that, “The work goes on for building of individual houses and new neighborhoods, but they are not like ghettos of social housing, but residential neighborhoods with the best standards of urban planning and look like resorts for the rich.”
During the activity, “Road to April 25 – RECONSTRUCTION DOES NOT STOP”, Rama shared his experience in receiving the news of the strong earthquake that had hit the country and the uncertainty that had occupied him to find funds to rebuild the country after earthquake ”.
“Today, when we are on the road to April 25 and many who talk about 8 years, I want to make a correction in fact it is not yet 8 years, because we entered the office in the second half of September 2013. This mandate was the most extraordinary mandate of an Albanian government, as it was broken in the middle by the earthquake and the pandemic, overturning all our plans, overturning our work calendars, our priorities and completely turning our attention in two directions, which have put us in front of two extraordinary challenges. I say it perhaps without modesty, but with full conviction, two blows that would have knocked down an elephant, let alone a government with limited means”, said the prime minister.
Rama said that we managed to secure a record support from the donors’ conference that gave us breath, energy, which strengthened our conviction that we would succeed.
On the other hand, in the territory, informed Rama, they were working every day to collect and register facts and damages.
“Only 15 months have passed and can you tell me, where is a company that builds a block of flats in 15 months and when I say this, I do not mean the time from the moment when the excavator appears until the keys are given but when the process for the idea begins, the project is drafted and the documents are made, the construction starts and then it is built. The project for the construction of a block of flats by a private company lasts 2 years from the beginning of its design “, he explained./p.s./
