TIRANA, March 1/ATA/ Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj stated today that the changes in the 2021 budget provide expenditures for the CEC for a modern, transparent and democratic electoral process.
Denaj said that this is an election year, which beyond the pandemic and the economic recovery, requires the creation of all necessary conditions for a modern, transparent and democratic electoral process.
Given the major significance of the project in question, Denaj said that the CEC finds it impossible to finance from its approved budget for 2021, so the budget review has become a necessity.
She stated that the Normative Act determines some changes or reorientations of budget items, at no additional cost.
In the domestic investments invoice, Denaj said that the additional fund of 2.42 billion Lek has been accommodated into the relevant program of the CEC for the financing of the electronic voter identification project./a.a/p.s./
