TIRANA, February 21 /ATA/ The Chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha presented on Monday the anti-corruption program of this opposition party, where among the main objectives mentioned by him is for Albania to be among the 30 best countries for doing business.
According to Basha, with the victory of the Democratic Party in the elections of April 25, the inspection system will be completely reformed.
“Albania is ranked 82nd in the world among 190 countries, according to the Doing Business 2020 report. This country is quite low compared to 4 countries in the region: where North Macedonia is 17th, Serbia 44th, Montenegro 50th and Kosovo 57th. Our objective is to include Albania among the 30 best countries for the “Doing Business” report. This is our national goal “, said Basha.
According to him, further steps will be taken to meet this objective.
“We will impose a 12-month moratorium, i.e. 1 whole year, during which fines from local or central bodies for businesses will be banned and the inspection system will be completely reformed. We will reduce and limit by law the number of inspections and controls over businesses. No more than 10% inspections or controls of businesses will be done during a year. It will be according to the example and best European practices. We will drastically reduce the current number of all licenses and permits issued today by the state,” Basha said./p.s./
