TIRANA, February 11 /ATA/- The Chairman of the Democratic Party in opposition Lulzim Basha stated in a meeting today with the main representatives of the tourism business in Durrës that under a DP government, “VAT for all tourism operators will be 6%”.
During this meeting, he explained the DP program for tourism.
Basha explained to businesses the effects that this commitment of his would-be government will have after April 25 for all tourism in the country.
“We have unveiled some of these instruments and today we can discuss in detail others and processes and how we will advance them, but one of the instruments cannot be put in question, the 6% tax that should be applied to all tour operators, I am talking about VAT, value added tax. This instrument will be applied together with a strong financial support, with a financial and fiscal package to support the qualification of the labor force, the qualification and retraining of the labor force”.
Speaking about tourism, Basha said that there is no doubt that tourism has taken a leading role in our program, for the simple and clear reason, because it is a national priority in terms of our objective of economic growth and multiplication of opportunities to employ people and to provide employees with dignified salaries ”./p.s./
