TIRANA, February 8/ATA/ Albanian Electric Power Corporation (KESH) informed today that inflows in the Drin River cascade have increased due to the rains reaching 1100 m3 / s, while production is continuing at maximum capacity, making it possible to meet all demand for electricity in the country.
KESH also informed that discharges are being carried out by the three hydropower plants on the Drini cascade.
The water level in the lake of the Fierza hydropower plant is 291.42 m, from 296 m which is the maximum quota; at Koman 170.63 m, from 175.5 m and at Vau i Dejës, 71.88 m, from 76 m which is the maximum quota.
In the hydropower plant of Fierza the daily production is 6756 MWh, in Koman 13297 MWh, while in Vau i Dejës, 4320 MWh.
“The total production is estimated at 24373 MWh (daily) and meets the entire demand for electricity consumption for the country,” said KESH.
According to the data published by KESH, in the HPP of Fierza the discharge from the production is 310 m3 / s, while the discharge from the gates is 400 m3 / s. In the Koman HPP the discharge from production is 678 m3 / s, while from the gates 300 m3 / s. In Vau i Dejes HPP the discharge from production is 420 m3 / s and 850 m3 / s from the gates.
“KESH will continue to monitor the situation guaranteeing the full safety of dams, electricity supply to domestic consumers and avoiding the negative impact of water discharges in the area of Nënshkodra”, it is said in the report of KESH./p.s./
