TIRANA, February 9/ATA/- Assets worth about 6 million euros suspected of being derived from criminal activity in the field of narcotics have been seized after a joint operation between Tirana Police and the Prosecutor’s Office.
The seized property was owned by a 37-year-old man with a criminal record in the field of narcotics, convicted in Italy, whose investigation have begun in 2016.
During the operation it was decided to seize the assets owned by the citizen A. Xh. and some assets that this citizen has transferred to his family, specifically: 13 vehicles, 3 units of land, 1 apartment, 5 shops, 2 bar-restaurant premises and some call center businesses.
The investigation showed that the transactions carried out through call centers were made by suspicious companies and the profits are suspected to be derived from criminal activity in the field of narcotics. //a.i/
