TIRANA, February 4 /ATA/ The increase of the number of people infected with Covid-19 in our country happens because the preventive measures are not respected, starting from the gatherings of people and continuing with the mask, distance, hygiene, etc.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported on Wednesday that there were over 1,000 cases of COVID-19 infection. The figure is reached for the first time in our country since the beginning of the pandemic.
Rovena Daja, a specialist at the Institute of Public Health, in an interview on Thursday, stressed that the reason for the increase in cases is the gathering in bars and non-compliance with safety measures.
“The number of cases is increasing because people have increased contact with each other, do not use masks, restaurants and bars are full,” she said.
“The capital is a red zone”, said Daja.
“There is also an increase in the spread of the virus among young people aged 20 to 24 years. There are about 31,000 active positive cases in Albania and Tirana has more than half of those infected”, said Daja. /a.a/r.e/p.s./
