TIRANA, February 2 /ATA/ The current port of Durrës, which is a gangrene in the middle of the city, will get transformed into one of the largest tourist ports in the Mediterranean. More than 2 billion dollars will be invested in its construction alone.
Prime Minister Edi Rama made the statement today at the weekly press conference “Economy in Focus”, on the topic – “Reconstruction”.
Asked by journalists about running in Durrës, Rama said that, “The debt of gratitude he owes to the city is related to my origin, my life, my memories, me personally. Durrës still has an extraordinary potential to be used and in the conditions when Vlora has made a lot of progress, Durrës seems unfairly as if it is far behind, but it is not far behind, but it needs a new impetus ”.
“This is a debt in the personal sense and of great common interest not only for the people of Durrës, but for the whole of Albania. Durrës has the potential to be an irreplaceable economic engine of Albania”, – added Rama.
The head of the government said that, “Today, we in Durrës have established a strong basis for change, because Durrës has many problems as Albania has a problem in every sector, if we go back and remember Durrës and 7-8 years ago then we will to see that the difference is considerable, so there is a basis. Now is the time for Durrës to be given a very strong impetus.”/k.s/p.s./
