TIRANA, Feb. 1 /ATA/- The Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Monday that, there will be no new measures, but there will be tightening of the implementation of the measures against COVID-19.
With regard to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases and whether citizens would risk a second quarantine period, the Prime Minister Rama said that, “we have predicted a sharp increase in coronavirus cases, for the sake of the truth, because this is like an accordion, you open up and of course there is high risk of exposure to COVID-19. When you stay at home, the virus does not disappear but there is lower risk of exposure, but we cannot stay closed until the virus goes away, because this is impossible.”
“Failure to implement measures against COVID-19 shows indifference, negligence and forgetfulness, but they are unforgivable. Therefore, if the measures will be tightened, there will be tightening of the implementation of these measures in the first place,” the premier Rama stressed.
“It is up to the Technical Committee to decide on the austerity measures, but as long as the committee has not adopted other measures, we must implement the existing measures in order to be a contributor and not a spreader of evil,” the Prime Minister Rama added.//a.i/
