TIRANA, Jan.29 /ATA/- The Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama visited today the farm of Ylvi Bylykbashi, in the Shamoll area, in Korça municipality, while announcing that, the government has increased support for farmers nationwide which affected the growth of production and exports.
“In the spectacular farm of Ylvi Bylykbashi, in Shamoll, Korça, where you can see and hear the big difference, like day and night, if we compare the reality of agricultural production today with 7 years ago and falsehood and lies produced by the talkative people,” the premier Rama said.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milva Ekonomi said that, “Bylykbashi with 40 years of experience in the field of agriculture is one of the many farmers in the country benefited funds under the National Scheme for protection against the effects of hail that can diminish production and affect to crops. Ylvi Bylykbashi also applied to become a beneficiary of the IPARD scheme.”
“4 years ago, we used to send farmers to North Macedonia to gain experience, while today farmers from North Macedonia come to Korça to gain experience, as they have not yet managed to set up such farms,” the farmer said.
“I worked for 13 years as a farmer consultant. We have very few integrated and united farmers. Most of us have small farms and it is difficult to put them together. An initiative is needed for the implementation of a pilot project in 5 regions, i.e. the establishment of a cooperative to see how farmers work in groups,” farmer Bylykbashi stressed.
“The Albanian government has made it clear that we will strongly support those who are the locomotive of this sector and who will pull other wagons back by creating examples, and making it clear to all that cooperation does not mean uniting property like in communist era, but the Mind. This would help the farmer not only increase production but also to make better management by ensuring a target market,” the Prime Minister Rama said.
The Prime Minister Rama also announced that, “thanks to the policies pursued by the government and investments in agriculture today, the amount agricultural products planted and exported has increased several times if compared to 10 years ago.” //a.i/
