TIRANA, Jan 22 /ATA/ Trade exchanges to Italy during 2020 amounted to ALL 275.4 billion, becoming the principal trading partner of Albania with almost 31.4% of exports.
Referring to INSTAT, exports to Italy in value are estimated at 123 billion ALL. The “textiles and footwear” group accounts for the largest share of the exports to Italy. From 102.3 billion ALL which is the overall value of exports of “textiles and footwear” group for the whole year, the export of this group to Italy is estimated at 77 billion ALL.
The exports of the group “construction materials and metals” to the neighboring country are estimated at 12.7 billion ALL, while the exports of the group “machinery, equipment and spare parts” are estimated at 10.3 billion ALL.
Albania also exported food products to Italy, which in value for the period January-November are estimated at over 9.6 billion ALL.
