TIRANA, January 7 /ATA/ Rinas Border Police continues the controls for the observance of the obligatory self-quarantine for those citizens who have entered Albania and who have traveled from Great Britain.
From these controls, 9 other citizens were identified and punished, with the administrative measure 700,000 Lek each, for violation of the 14-day compulsory self-quarantine that must be performed by citizens coming from Great Britain.
Two days ago, the Rinas Border Police punished 6 citizens, with administrative measures, for violating self-quarantine.
Pursuant to the order of the Ministry of Health, dated 21.12.2020, on the prohibition of movement by air with Great Britain, where point 2 of this order states that persons who have traveled from the United Kingdom and enter Albania, are forced to self-quarantine for 14 days, the Border Police services have kept a special register for these persons and have notified the relevant police stations of the cities where these citizens have residences.
The Border Police Services, during the interviewing and verification of persons leaving Albania, have found 9 citizens who have violated the mandatory self-quarantine and have tried to leave through Rinas to their destination.
The Border Police Services did not allow these citizens to travel and each of them was fined with an administrative measure of 700,000 Lek.
The State Police appealed to all those citizens who have entered Albania during the last week of December 2020, from Great Britain, by land, sea or air, not to try to violate the mandatory self-quarantine, as they will be punished with administrative measures according to the Normative Act and will not be allowed to move towards their destination without performing mandatory self-quarantine.
The State Police appealed to all citizens to respect the anti-Covid measures, by putting on the mask and maintaining social distance, to respect the restrictive schedules for stopping the circulation of pedestrians and vehicles, while business owners to respect the schedule for the mandatory closure of businesses. /j.p/r.e/p.s./
