TIRANA, Jan 2 /ATA/ As many as 35,883 employees of the pre-university education system are eligible for a 15% wage raise.
This wage raise is intended to add value to the work and effort made by education system employees during the pandemic period.
The annual fund that covers 15% wage raise for the teaching staff is estimated at ALL 3.5 billion ALL.
Specifically, the average gross wage of teachers in 9-year primary schools from ALL 65,800 will be ALL 72,100. The average gross wage of high school teachers from ALL 68,800 will be ALL 75,550.
Thus, in the Albanian education system, the average wage was ALL 65,800, with an increase of 15% (6,300 ALL) goes to ALL 72,100, while the average gross wage of teachers was 68,800 ALL, with an increase of 15% (6,750 ALL) goes to ALL 75,550.
The wage of 9-year school teachers from 2013 to 2021 increased 21.6%, that of high school teachers increased 21.3%.
