About 53 thousand employees got support from sovereign guarantee

TIRANA, December 29/ATA/- The government supported about 760 entities by providing two sovereign guarantee instruments.

“I believe you remember the controversy over the two guarantee instruments which aimed to support big business to enable the salaries of employees and on the other hand the support of some delicate enterprises, delicate sectors of the economy such as manufacturing companies, tailors and operators in the field of tourism. Today, we are talking about 560 entities that have benefited from instrument I of the sovereign guarantee of 53 million euros and another 200 entities that have benefited from instrument II of 51 million Euros”, said the prime minister.

According to Rama, what is even more significant is the fact that thanks to the instruments of sovereign guarantee 53 thousand employees were supported.

“Another significant data that refers not surveys or conjectures, but to the register of employees is that in Albania officially at the time of the big shock in March-June immediately became unemployed 33 thousand people and in fact today there are more than 20 thousand of them that are back to work “, informed Rama.

Meanwhile, he added, we have a special program to encourage and support the return to work of those left behind who lost their jobs due to the pandemic.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Rama recalled the decision to double the monthly payment for the unemployed and economic assistance.

“We will keep the double of economic aid in force during the next year until the end of the war with this invisible enemy, regardless of whether or not they have persons affected by COVID. We have eliminated the energy interest delays for the families living on the economic aid and businesses with a financial effect of 120 million Euros “, said Rama./p.s./
