TIRANA, Dec. 19/ATA/- Consumer prices are following an upward trend within the Bank of Albania, BoA’s expectations.
According to data from the BoA, consumer price index (CPI) grew by 1.8% in October and November of this year, compared to 1.4% in the third quarter of 2020.
The Bank of Albania notes that the inflation performance in recent months has been mostly influenced by supply factors, which have also dictated food price fluctuations.
On the other hand, inflationary pressures, which stem from aggregate demand and the external environment, continue to remain at low levels.
The Bank of Albania forecasts that inflation will remain at the level of 1.9% during 2020 while gradually progressing towards its target by 2022. //a.i/
