TIRANA, Dec 16 /ATA/ Special Olympics Albania with the support of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the municipality of Elbasan, UNDP and local organizations for persons with disability organized on Wednesday in Elbasan an activity dedicated to the children with special needs.
Socialist Party MP, Taulant Balla, who was present at this event, together with Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Evis Kushi, and the Mayor of Elbasan Gledian Llatja, said that “sport as a generator of physical health is necessary for these children and highlights the talent, courage and ability of young athletes in particular to overcome discrimination and achieve high inclusive standards. ”
“I am very proud that as a deputy of Elbasan I have proposed and voted in parliament a very good law on anti-discrimination. Because we do not want to leave any Albanian behind despite different abilities. These children are champions,” said Balla.
