TIRANA, December 10 /ATA/ Minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj welcomed the decision taken today by the High Judicial Council to accept the request of the High Inspector of Justice for dismissal of Judge Markelian Kuqo. Minister Gjonaj says that this is another proof that the new justice system works, from the request for disciplinary investigation for the judge by the Minister of Justice to the unanimous decision of the HJC.
“I welcome the decision taken today by the High Judicial Council to accept the request of High Inspector of Justice for the dismissal of Judge Markelian Kuqo. Another proof that the new justice system works, from the request for disciplinary investigation for the judge by the Minister of Justice to the unanimous decision of the HJC. I encourage the High Inspector of Justice to continue investigating cases where judges and prosecutors violate the public trust with their abusive decisions,” said Gjonaj.
