TIRANA, December 7/ATA/ The rapid antigen test has 100% certainty and beginning from today it will be applied in foci determined by epidemiologists in Tirana.
Head of Epidemiology at the Institute of Public Health Eugena Tomini made the statement today.
“The rapid test not only helps the investigation, but is also 100% diagnostic. No need for retesting. The antigen is extracted; therefore it should have a high virulence and is required in the first 5 days. It will be an alternate test,” Tomini said in a television interview.
According to her, the application of the rapid tests will also reduce the flow for the PCR tests.
“The procedure will be alternated between frequent testing, which is effective only in the first 5 days and then with PCR test”, – stressed Tomini.
Chief of Epidemiology said that, “The period of training at the national level extends until December 20. The training of epidemiologists has started at the national level, but initially it starts in Tirana ”.
“This year should be conceived as a year of celebration within the small family. We should not go to the parties, but mark the holiday and celebrate closely this year”, – said Tomini./k.s//a.a/p.s./
