TIRANA, Dec 7 /ATA/ Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj, attended on Monday the online meeting of the National Committee on Trade Facilitation, where she appreciated the concrete results achieved in terms of facilitating trade with countries in the region and beyond.
“During the last three years, NCTF managed to produce concrete results in terms of trade facilitation, such as the creation of a dedicated portal tregtia.gov.al, inventory of tariffs for import / export procedures, conducting for the first time a study on measuring the time of border procedures, approval of the manual
“Mandatory Information of Origin” and Mandatory Tariff Information, creation of a dedicated and centralized structure in the Customs administration for the assessment of goods, as well as the 24/24 operation of the customs administration or establishment of the joint border point Morinë / Vërmicë, ” Denaj said.
The minister said that customs procedures have been streamlined.
“During these years, important positive indicators have been achieved in the simplification and streamlining of customs procedures. Specifically, during 2020, although in the midst of a pandemic situation: the share of companies switching to the green channel increased 3.1%, the share of companies switching to the blue channel increased 4.1%, reducing by minus 1.1% the red channel and by minus 6% the yellow channel, ” Denaj said.
In attendance of this meeting were Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, Besart Kadia, Director General of Customs Administration Gent Gazeli as well as business representatives.
