EU4Schools Programme/ Reconstruction work on two schools in Kruja and Durrës kicks off

TIRANA, Nov. 27/ATA/- Korb Muça in Kruja and Hysen Çela in Durrës are two from the first schools where reconstruction works have started. 56 other educational facilities affected by last year’s earthquake will be reconstructed thanks to the €75 Million EU4Schools programme implemented by UNDP Albania.

“After visiting both sites, great to see concrete progress. Schools are the real symbol of recovery for society and offer a new beginning for children. Proud that 20,000 children will benefit from the EU4Schools Programme,” the EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca said.

In his remarks, EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca stressed that “we had a long discussion with children and teachers to ensure that they will be offered best learning environments.

While, resident representative of United Nations Development Programme in Albania
Limya Eltayeb said that, “education directly helps children, parents and families, but also it can indirectly affect the economy, because we are investing for the future generations in Albania.” //a.i/
