TIRANA, Nov 10 /ATA/- 2021 budget guarantees a 40% wage increase for doctors and nurses.
PM Edi Rama says that there are over 18 000 doctors, nurses and laboratory technicians that will benefit a wage increase.

Ever since 2013, the salaries of doctors in tertiary healthcare system have increased over 61%.
The 2021 budget earmarked for healthcare and social protection is projected to be ALL 81 billion 836 million 605 thousand and compared to the 2020 budget, it is projected to increase by 7.5% or in absolute value in the amount of ALL 5.7 billion in the health and social protection budget.
For healthcare alone, the budget has seen an increase of 8.25% compared to 2020 or 55.36% as compared to 2013.
